Coed Game #1

First games come with the inevitable set of miscalculations and fluke moments. Actually, the only fluke moment of this game was Patrick scoring a goal. A truly rare moment which, sadly, was not caught on film. I would have submitted it to sportscenter with a note saying: "More remarkable than that kid who hit 7 three-pointers in that high-school game."

There were some positive moments coming from the difficult 7-3 loss. Kevin scored a goal. He let four go in, but hey, we'll only remember the positive. Also, Steve did a solid job in goal replacing Kevin, since Kenny was too "injured" to participate in said goalie responsibilities.

Another positive moment was when Katie scored. For the other team.

Go Katie! Go otters!

Kendra held her own, as usual, despite being both a pre-teen and black.

I would go into the negatives...but you were all there. You saw that everything was pretty much a negative.

In summation: Time flies when you're having fun. Maybe that's why the last ten minutes of the game felt like somewhere between 4 and 5 hours.

MVP: Xavier Beverly for his enthusiasm on the sidelines. Also, the only player who didn't suck tonight.

MWP: (Most Worthless Player) Steph. That chick who used to play for us but stopped showing up. (We really need a goalie.)
